Crawl Space & Basement Insulation
Batt insulation, mineral wool and radiant GPS foam board for crawl spaces and basements.
Learn moreWetlock Waterproofing helps homeowners manage basement water intrusion through customized interior drainage, sump pump systems, wall moisture protection, and humidity control. Each system is designed around the source of the moisture and the conditions of the foundation.

Together these manage water that reaches the basement. They do not change conditions outside the house, so where roof runoff or grading sends water toward the foundation, exterior drainage may also be recommended.
Not every wet basement has the same cause, and the fix depends on which one it is.
| Source | What you see | What usually addresses it |
|---|---|---|
| Seepage at the wall-floor joint | Water along the base of the walls after heavy rain | Interior drain system and sump pump |
| Foundation cracks | Damp lines or leaks at a crack | Drainage to relieve pressure; reinforcement if the wall is cracking or bowing |
| Condensation | Damp walls and musty air with no visible leak, often in summer | AprilAire dehumidifier |
A wall liner is installed over the inside of the foundation walls. Water that seeps through the block runs down behind the liner into the interior drain system instead of across your floor, and the walls are left clean and bright.
Where moisture has led to fungus growth on walls or other surfaces, we clean the affected areas as part of the project. Cleaning is paired with fixing the moisture source, so the conditions that caused the growth are addressed too. This is cleaning of visible fungal-like growth, not certified mold remediation.
Wall reinforcement is a structural repair, separate from waterproofing. Carbon fiber straps are bonded to cracked or bowing block walls to reinforce them. Straps are recommended only after we assess the wall, and we tell you plainly if it needs more than straps, including further structural evaluation.
Coatings can help with light dampness, but they cannot hold back water under pressure. When the soil is saturated, water builds up hydrostatic pressure and pushes through the wall and the coating peels. Relieving that pressure with a drain system is what keeps a basement dry.

Clay soil around Carolina homes soaks up rainwater and presses it against foundation walls. That pressure pushes water through cracks and the joint where the wall meets the floor. An interior drain system relieves it.
